“The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” starring Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett is being billed as David Fincher’s directorial masterpiece. Watch the movie trailer above for “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.”

Don’t let the long title throw you for a loop either because this sounds like an interesting premise. Benajamin Button (Pitt) is born an old man who ages backwards until he’s a baby. Along the way, he falls in love with Cate Blanchett’s character.

According to David Fincher, “It’s dark, it’s romantic, and it also deals with mortality in a pretty unflattering way. Button is born in 1919 – with the film itself beginning in World War I, traveling around the world and carrying on all the way through to the year 2000.”

“The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” opens December 19.
