Van Johnson Dies; Actor Van Johnson Dead at Age 92

Van Johnson, who starred in a number of Golden Age Hollywood 1940s movies, died today – he was 92.
Van Johnson was one of the Hollywood’s heartthrobs of the day, and starred in films including 30 Seconds over Tokyo, Battleground, A Guy Named Joe and The Caine Mutiny.
Van Johnson’s cause of death is not yet known, but the actor died today at a senior citizens home in Nyack, N.Y.
Other Van Johnson films include State of the Union, Command Decision, Battleground and musicals “In the Good Old Summertime,” “Easy to Wed,” “Thrill of a Romance,” “Duchess of Idaho,” and “Two Girls and a Sailor.”
