Valkyrie Movie Extras Suing Tom Cruise for $11 Million

It sounds like the filiming of “Valkyrie” was dangerous business – 12 movie extras from the film are suing Tom Cruise and his production company for $11 million, after suffering broken bones, cuts and bruises while making the film in Berlin last year.
The accident occurred when the side panel of a period German army truck opened while rounding a corner last August.
The extras maintain that the truck used in that scene of Valkyrie did not have the side panel properly secured.
Ariane Bluttner, lawyer for the extras, says, “A new letter has been sent to Tom Cruise, (business partner) Paula Wagner and United Artists, in which we set out the facts of the case again and put a figure on the legal demands of our clients … of $11 million.”
