Tom Cruise’s “Valkyrie” Release Date Delayed to February 2009

Uh-oh. Tom Cruise’s big WWII drama — “Valkyrie” — has been given a delayed release date. “Valkyrie” was originally slated for an October 2008 release, and is now pushed back to February 13, 2009.
This is the second time “Valkyrie” has had a delayed release date, as the Tom Cruise flick was originally scheduled for a July 2008 opening.
United Artists and MGM made the decision to push back the Bryan Singer movie even further — into 2009 — in hopes of getting “Valkyrie” iinto the Presidents Day weekend timeslot to take advantage of bigger box office earnings. But will the delays pay off?

I thoroughly enjoyed watching Valkyrie on the big screen and definitely recommend it to those who have not yet seen it.
