Could Tom Cruise reprise his Les Grossman character from Tropic Thunder for a new movie project?
After seeing Tom Cruise dance as Les Grossman with JLo at the MTV Movie Awards (video), he’s certainly given the character a new life, but is there enough there for a full-length movie?
EOnline reports that Tom Cruise mentioned backstage at the MTV Movie Awards that a Les Grossman movie was a possibility, saying, “We’re working on it. Yep, we’re working on it.”
Call me crazy, but I don’t see this working. At. All. By the time Les Grossman took the stage for the dance with Jennifer Lopez, I thought it was already overplayed (Cruise appeared as Grossman in Movie Awards Show promos and in the show’s opening).
I can’t even imagine sitting through an hour and a half movie about Les. Can you?
