The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep
The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep is based on the legend of Nessie, the Loch Ness monster. I’ve never heard the term water horse used before, but when you see the striking CGI-generated creature, you can see why it applies.
Something about the Water Horse trailer (below) reminds me of some other movie. Were it not for the text at the start of the trailer indicating Walden Media, who were responsible for The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe movie, I wouldn’t have guessed. (Despite waiting many years to see it, I missed it altogether in the theatres and I’m waiting until I have a very large screen to view it on.)
Opens Dec 2th, Christmas Day.
I don’t recognize any of the actors credited in The Water Horse, but the soundtrack includes at least Sinead O’Connor and The Chieftains. Overall, it looks like a fun movie for children and fantasy-loving adults alike.
