Thanksgiving 2008 has us giving thanks, passing the turkey and kicking off the holiday movie season. Thanksgiving 2008 movie releases include the holiday comedy “Four Christmases,” the epic Nicole Kidman/Hugh Jackman film “Australia” and the return of Jason Statham in the action flick “Transporter 3.”

There’s something for everyone in these Thanksgiving releases – plus teens can still flock to the theaters for their third/fourth/fifth viewing of “Twilight” and family friendly “Bolt” and “Madagascar 2″ are still going strong.

Four Christmases

The holiday dysfunctional family movie, Four Christmases offers up Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon, but fails to deliver on laughs, according to critics.

Will Jason Statham’s third go-around connect with audiences? Who cares – if you’re going in search of an action flick, this is the only one that fits the bill.

Another film worth noting, “Milk,” starring Sean Penn, opens in limited release over the Thanksgiving holiday.
