You heard that right folks. Rambo 4 is the first one in the series to be directed by Sylvester Stallone himself. It actually has several alternate titles, but it’s officially called simpy Rambo for now. It’s set in Thailand, and John Rambo and a group of mercenaries are looking for missing Christian aid workers.
The story is written by Sly, with characters developed by David Morell. The only other cast member whose name I recognize is Julie Benz, who has been in CSI, CSI: Miami, Supernatural, Law & Order, Coupling (American version) and many others. (You might recognize Matthew Marsden, Graham McTavish, Jake La Botz.) Sly will also be on a 2008 TV movie Notorious.
Release date for Rambo is Jan 25th, 2008. Restricted.
