Shia LaBeouf was photographed outside a Los Angeles hospital yesterday – check out this picture that shows off the extent of his hand injury and broken fingers.

Transformers 2 director Michael Bay knows how to make lemonade out of the lemons dealt to him when Shia LaBeouf got into a car crash over the weekend, resulting in a hand injury that is keeping him off the set for a month. The injury from his DUI accident will become part of the Transformers 2 story.

Michael Bay told Access Hollywood, “His [Shia LaBeouf's] two fingers are pretty mashed, but we’re figuring out a way to shoot around it, kind of write it in the story.”

Michael Bay also believes that Shia LaBeouf was not drunk at the time of the accident, saying, “You’re gonna see — that’s gonna go away. He was not drunk. He was drinking hours and hours before.”
