It’s been awhile since we’ve seen a John Grisham novel come to the big screen, but Shia LaBeouf is the next actor tapped to make it happen. Shia LaBeouf will star in the legal thriller The Associate, playing a Yale Law School stuent who’s manipulated into accepting a law firm job and then given privileged information about a multibillion-dollar lawsuit.

The Associate – the novel – will hit shelves in January. No word on when the movie will be released.
