Oops. Sharon Stone is apologizing for her Cannes red carpet snafu, where she remarked the cause of China’s recent earthquake was bad karrma for its treatment of Tibet.

As a result of her comment, Christian Dior announced that it dropped Sharon Stone from its Chinese ads. Sharon Stone issued this statement:

“Due to my inappropriate words and acts during the interview, I feel deeply sorry and sad about hurting Chinese people. I am willing to take part in the relief work of China’s earthquake, and wholly devote myself to helping affected Chinese people.”

The Chinese media said that Sharon Stone was the “public enemy of all mankind” for her insensitive earthquake remark.
