Paul Newman Lung Cancer Rumors True?
Here’s one that I refuse to believe until it’s confirmed by a reliable source – rumors are swirling that film icon Paul Newman is suffering from lung cancer. Paul Newman is pictured above at a May 2008 event with Martha Stewart.
The story comes from the National Enquirer, who “reports” that a friend of Paul Newman said, “We have known he is seriously ill for several weeks but his loved ones are being very protective and saying very little.”
A cancer patient also said that Paul Newman was seen at the hospital: “He’s been there a lot, he’s even worked out in the waiting room, doing the squat thrusts. Last time, he was in there he had a long beard. Joanne is there waiting for him and being very sweet with the assistants.”
So, is the rumor about Paul Newman suffering from lung cancer true? The actor pulled out of an adaptation of “Of Mice and Men,” which raised a few eyebrows. I’m still waiting on the official word though.
