This was one strange interview – check out Nicole Kidman in this Late Show with David Letterman interview video clip from November 24. She wanted to plug her movie (Australia), but he seemed exceptionally interested in her husband, Keith Urban.

I was totally embarrassed at the Letterman approach to the interview; he simply lost it and I would consider him to be very unprofessional.
What was it with Keith Urban and the constant reference to Nicole’s looks and beauty. I thoiught it totall patronising and summed up by Simon Baker in the following interview where in refence to Daves question on meeting again with him, he said “fat chance Dave”. Simon Baker had just minutes earlier refered to the Kidman-Letterman interview as hopelessly performed. Then Dave cut that interview short.
Iwas a fan of Letterman.

I watched this episode of Letterman because Nicole Kidman was on. The interview was a disgrace and Nic was there to talk and promote the fabulous film “Australia”. When Nic does an interview she is relaxed and forthcoming with information. She was uncomfortable and you could see that with her body language. David’s obsession with Keith and every other subject but “Australia” was appalling.
David you need to get a grip and learn how to interview people. You are a disgrace to your fellow country men.

I think Letterman was slimy in the way he kept commenting on her appearance… and he’s a HORRIBLE interviewer… but I have to say that is the WORST interview I’ve ever seen a hollywood celeb do….. I dont’ know what’s gone wrong with Nicole… she’s a fab actress….and a person of substance..but she was so nervous.. awkward…defensive… and couldn’t string a few sentences together in response to his questions. I mean she kept making matters worse by giving him strange looks and giving one word/line answers…How hard is it to just talk about your husband proudly and say this is what he’s doing… and then say ‘and he’s been a great support during our filming of Australia’ or bring up the movie in another way by saying ‘Keith is great…Australia has some great talent… and we’re lucky coz our latest movie showcases some wonderful actors never seen before’ …. Nic seems to have lost her confidence. She just seems so insecure now… constantly fidgeting and looking around at whose looking …. and not focusing on the person who is talking to her. And such a shame she had her lips done… she looked sooooo much better before….even her hair looked better in her natural red rather than the bleached look she’s got now.. I hope she can go back to just being herself… she’s WONDERUFL.
