Natasha Richardson Autopsy Reveals Epidural Hematoma, Blunt Impact to Head

Autopsy results for Natasha Richardson have already been released by the New York City medical examiner’s office – the cause of death was “epidural hematoma due to blunt impact to the head,” which happened during a skiing accident.
Natasha Richardson’s death was determined to be accidental.
Richardson was not wearing a helmet during her private ski lesson on Monday. She fell during the lesson, but displayed no visible injuries and the first ambulance sent to the resort was turned away.
She was later rushed to a hospital and passed away in New York City Wednesday.
In memory of Natasha Richardson, Broadway theaters will dim their lights for one minute at 8 p.m. tonight.
A private service will be held at the Greenwich Village Funeral Home.
