Movies Opening Today – Fri Feb 8, 2008
For top box office this weekend, my money is on Fool’s Gold (PG-13) with Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey. I saw the trailer for this when watching The Bucket List last weekend, and the chemistry between cute Kate and handsome Matt is unmistakable. Aside from that, it seems a bit formulaic.
At the bottom of the box office: Paris Hilton and The Hottie and the Nottie. The trailers make this look like a wretched, shallow movie – an ideal vehicle for a shallow ex-heiress.
In between top and bottom of the box office for new releases will be the other five movies opening today, including: In Bruges (Colin Farrell), Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins (Martin Lawrence), Spiral (Amber Tamblyn, Zachary Levi), and a couple of limited run movies.
