Definitely, Maybe - movie poster

Isla Fisher (Sacha Baron “Borat” Cohen’s wife and baby momma) was looking absolutely radiant on Regis + Kelly this morning. She looked like a manifestation of the painting “Venus on the Half Shell”. She stars with Ryan Reynolds, Elizabeth Banks, Kevin Kline, and Rachel Weisz in Definitely, Maybe, which opens today.

Also opening today is Jumper with Hayden Christensen and Samuel L. Jackson. Christensen appeared on Regis + Kelly just before Isla Fisher and was looking pale and worn out. But the movie looks very exciting.

Another big box office possibility this weekend is The Spiderwick Chronicles, opening today and brought to you by the same people that made The Chronicles of Narnia. (The Narnia sequel, Prince Caspian, opens May 16).

Finally, Step Up 2 the Streets, another dance movie and sequel opens today.

My box office predictions… Ignoring current releases, Definitely, Maybe will take top spot only because this is Valentines Day week. Second will be Jumper, but it might jump to 1st the following week. The Spiderwick Chronicles will come in third, though I think it’ll depend on the weather. If the weather is good (in areas where there’s snow), it might actually take top spot. This one will very likely be a big DVD sales/ rental success.
