Michael Crichton Dies of Cancer; Michael Crichton Dead at Age 66

Well, this is shocking news – Michael Crichton, best-selling author, died yesterday in Los Angeles after a fight with cancer. Michael Crichton is dead at age 66.
According to a news release, Michael Crichton “died unexpectedly, after a courageous and private battle against cancer.”
Many of Michael Crichton’s novels have been adapted into film versions, including Jurassic Park and The Lost World, as well as The Andromeda Strain, Disclosure and Congo.
A statement released to Entertainment Tonight read:
“While the world knew him as a great storyteller that challenged our preconceived notions about the world around us — and entertained us all while doing so — his wife Sherri, daughter Taylor, family and friends knew Michael Crichton as a devoted husband, loving father and generous friend who inspired each of us to strive to see the wonders of our world through new eyes.
He did this with a wry sense of humor that those who were privileged to know him personally will never forget.”
