The rumors about Megan Fox playing the role of Wonder Woman have turned out to be a hoax, despite a fairly believable fake movie poster featuring Megan Fox in full Wonder Woman costume.

The real scoop is that model/actress Megan Gale (yeah, never heard of her either) will play the role of Wonder Woman.

The Megan Fox Wonder Woman hoax went down at Wonder-Who.com, who first showed Fox dressed as Wonder Woman.

According to Megan Gale’s people, “Megan has an agreement with Warner Bros that she cannot comment on details of film projects that she’s been linked with and she has to respect that request.”

Wonder-Who.com posted the first image of the Wonder Woman logo over an American flag, with the tag “The Truth Will Be Revealed!” Over the days, more of the image was torn away until Megan Fox was revealed in the Wonder Woman getup.

Naturally, the news that Megan Gale will be playing the role and not the uber-sexy Megan Fox will have a few Fox fans disappointed.

When will Wonder Woman take to the big screen? The character was to appear in the Justice League movie, but the film was put on hold.
