Marilyn Chambers, Ivory Snow box model and former 1970s porn star, was found dead in her Los Angeles home. Chambers was 56.
Marilyn Chambers’ 17-year-old daughter, McKenna Marie Taylor, found her mother dead last night. While an autopsy is pending, early investigation show that foul play is not suspected. <--more-->
Marilyn Chambers was famous for her picture on the Ivory Snow box – a wholesom mom holding her baby.
In stark contrast to the Ivory Snow box, Chambers starred in the 1972 film “Behind the Green Door,” beginning her career as a porn star.
Marilyn Chambers also appeared in the David Cronenberg horror film flick “Rabid” and had a 1976 disco hit single called “Benihana.”

It’s always a little sad to hear about a celebrity dying. I never knew Ms. Chambers although I know who she was and that she was quite noted for her good-girl-turned-vixen schtick. I’m sure many found that amusing, some perhaps found it shocking but I think her greatest achievement in life was having her daughter with whom she seems so happy with in this picture. Rest in peace, Marilyn. I hope you found happiness in this life and I hope you’re in a better place.
