Another celebrity death… c’mon, already! This time, news that actor Karl Malden has died is making headlines today – Karl Malden is dead at age 97, the result of natural causes.

Karl Malden is an award winning actor, starring as Lt. Mike Stone on TV’s The Streets of San Francisco as well as in film classics like A Streetcar Named Desire, On the Waterfront, One-Eyed Jacks and Patton.

Karl Malden won a Best Supporting Oscar for his role as Mitch in A Street Car Named Desire. Malden also starred in the role on Broadway.

Malden was also famous for being the spokesman on American Express commercials during the 1980s.

He died of natural causes in his Brentwood, California home.
