The very talented Helena Bonham Carter (Oscar- and Golden Globe-nominee!) is in talks to join the fourth installment of the Terminator franchise, Terminator Salvation. While the details of Helena Bonham Carter’s role in McG’s Terminator Salvation are unknown, it’s being called “small but pivotal.”

Terminator 4 stars Christian Bale as an adult John Connor, while Sam Worthington costars as a time-hopping amnesiac.

Terminator Salvation is scheduled for a May 22, 2009 release.
