Winona Ryder has confirmed that a sequel is in the works for the 1988 cult classic “Heathers.” Hmmm… not quite sure how that’s going to play out, but here are the details.

Apparently, the Heathers sequel is wrapped in mystery because Ryder says in a recent interview: “Whatever you hear, there is a sequel in the works. I swear to God. But for some reason the writer Dan Waters and director Michael Lehman don’t want to talk about it. I’ve been wanting to do a sequel forever.”

Ryder does, however reveal: “Christian [Slater] has agreed to come back as a kind of Obi-Wan character.”
