Guillermo del Toro Remake of “Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark”

Guillermo del Toro is on a roll - “Hellboy 2,” his follow up to “Pan’s Labyrinth,” did big business. Next for the talented director? Producing a remake of the 1973 horror-thriller TV movie “Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark.”
Horror movies are big business, after all, and no doubt Guillermo del Toro serving as producer will somewhat influence comic book artist-writer Troy Nixey’s directorial debut on “Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark.”
The plot of “Dark” involves a young girl sent to live with her father and his new girlfriend. Oh yeah - and there’s some creepy creatures living under the stairs!
