Girls Just Want to Have Fun to Get the Remake Treatment (Video)
First Footloose, and now… Variety is reporting that “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” will be getting the remake treatment – bringing the 1985 comedy that was the featured presentation at tween slumber parties of the mid-80s to the big screen again.
Twentieth Century Fox and Lakeshore Entertainment already have writer Michelle Morgan on board to write the remake. The original Girls Just Want to Have Fun, starring Helen Hunt and Sarah Jessica Parker, was about how the girls tried to get on dance show “Dance TV.”
