In a surprise to no one, the hotly anticipated summer comedy “Get Smart” was the big winner at the box office - securing first place with $39.2 million.

Get Smart stars Steve Carell and Anne Hathaway in the big screen adaptation of the 1960s TV show.

Mike Myers’ The Love Guru also opened over the weekend, but with poor reviews, the comedy only landed in the fourth place spot, earning $14 million.

Kung Fu Panda held its own, taking second place (with a total of $155.6 million so far) and The Incredible Hulk was third with $21.6 million.
