Elijah Wood to Be in the Upcoming Hobbit Movies?
There’s talk over at the MTV Movies blog that Elijah Wood, who played the hobbit Frodo in the Lord of the Rings (LOTR) trilogy might have some involvement in both The Hobbit movies, which Peter Jackson will only be executive producing.
While I’ve read the LOTR novels long before the movies, I haven’t read The Hobbit. However, I wasn’t aware Frodo was in them, only his uncle Bilbo (who is the title character, if I recall). So this should be very interesting. Obviously, those of us that loved the movie trilogy would love to see many of the same actors cast again. But I wouldn’t at the cost of ruining the authenticity of The Hobbit’s storyline. On the other hand, this might be why there will be two Hobbit movies, with the second being based only loosely on the book.
