Yesterday we reported that Tea Leoni and David Duchovny had separated - today come rumors that it may have been Billy Bob Thornton that caused the split and not David Duchovny’s sex addiction.

The Daily Mail is reporting that Tea Leoni had received explicit text messages on her cell phone from actor Billy Bob Thornton. Ewwww, right?

David Duchovny found out about the texts and that got the wheels spinning on the separation. I’m not sure I believe all of this, but I’m feeling for their two kids, Madelaine, 9, and Kyd, 6.

Billy Bob Thornton has been married five times (including a marriage to Angelina Jolie) - he and Tea Leoni met when they worked together on a movie called Manure.

Totally not making that up either.

Tea Leoni has even been spotted at Billy Bob Thornton’s band’s gigs.

According to Tea Leoni’s spokeswoman, “She [Tea] is living on her own with the children in New York, but we did not want to announce it for the sake of the children until after David had received treatment for his problems.”
