CSI Miami’s David Caruso Branching Into Video Tech
David Caruso (CSI Miami, NYPD Blue, Mad Dog and Glory, Hudson Hawk, Twins, Hill Street Blues), who turned 52 on Jan 7th, has co-founded Lexicon Digital Communications. Caruso and partner Nils Lahr were at the CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas to announce the company, which seems to being doing “video distribution”.
Now I like CSI Miami in spite of Caruso’s cornball Horatio Caine character – admittedly maybe because of Eva La Rue’s Natalie Boa Vista character. (I vaguely recall liking Caruso on Hill Street Blues, but can no longer remember a damned episode.) Does this mean he’s leaving the show soon? If so, I vote sending Gary Sinise’s Detective Mac Taylor character to CSI Miami to take over. Or use Mandy Patinkin, since his Jason Gideon character on Criminal Minds just “took off” without much explanation. Patinkin has nothing else in the works that I can tell.
