Counting the Cost of the Writers’ Strike
Striking Hollywood screenwriters are hoping for higher wages and better benefits, but in the meantime, as the strike continues, they’ve collectively lost about $104M in wages. Other impacts of the strike are the potential for boring awards shows, due to lack of jokes and even non-attendance by stars. Boring awards shows? Who would have thought?
