The reason for dropping the charges? Officials say there is insufficient evidence. At most, Christian Bale is facing a caution.

Prosecutors at England’s Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) have reviewed the case and released a statement, in part that says: “Taking all the factors into consideration, the decision has been taken that there is insufficient evidence to afford a realistic prospect of conviction, and accordingly the police have been advised that no further action should be taken against Mr. Bale.”
