The movie buzz today is that Charlize Theron may come on board to star in the next Mad Max film. Mel Gibson isn’t planning on being in the fourth Mad Max film, however.

While Charlize Theron is the top contender for the role in Mad Max 4, there has yet to be any confirmation about whether she’ll take the gig or not.

E! Online reports the news, with the disclaimer that Mad Max 4 is “a long way from fruition.”
