Toy Story 1 and 2 3D Double Feature Extended (Video)

The Toy Story and Toy Story 2 3D double feature is doing so well that the director, Lee Unkrich, has announced that the limited 3D engagement has been extended.

While no details are revealed about how much longer Toy Story and Toy Story 2 will run in theaters, but you can check out the video clip for more tidbits, including an update on Toy Story 3.

With G-Force’s loveable rodents owning the box office last weekend, it got us to thinking about kids’ movies that adults also enjoy. Finding family friendly movies that adults can stomach can be a tall order (ask any parent tortured by a viewing of Space Buddies), so it’s a treat when kids’ movies make the grown-ups happy too. Toy Story, Toy Story 2 3-D double feature
Holy mother of Pixar! Disney announced at ShoWest that both Toy Story and Toy Story 2 will be released on October 2 as a 3-D double feature – for two weeks only.

The orginal plan was to re-release these in theaters separately, but instead Disney is going with the Toy Story films in a limited double feature format.

Now the question is… how much are tickets going to cost for the Toy Story/Toy Story 2 3-D double header?

Michael Keaton to Voice Ken in Toy Story 3

Toy Story 3 Planned for 2010
First – Toy Story 3 is in the works! How cool is that? Second – Michael Keaton is apparently onboard to voice Ken, the handsome boyfriend of Barbie (voiced by Jodi Benson). Benson was promoting The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Beginning on DVD and confirmed that she’ll return for Toy Story 3 as the voice of Barbie, with Michael Keaton providing Ken’s voice.

Sounds like the whole Toy Story gang is on board for the third installment too – Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack, Don Rickles, Wallace Shawn, Estelle Harris and John Ratzenberger. Read the rest of this entry »
