Check out the trailer video for Angels & Demons, starring Tom Hanks and Ewan McGregor. This is the prequel to the Da Vinci Code and will be released in theaters in May 2009.
First – Toy Story 3 is in the works! How cool is that? Second – Michael Keaton is apparently onboard to voice Ken, the handsome boyfriend of Barbie (voiced by Jodi Benson). Benson was promoting The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Beginning on DVD and confirmed that she’ll return for Toy Story 3 as the voice of Barbie, with Michael Keaton providing Ken’s voice.
Sounds like the whole Toy Story gang is on board for the third installment too – Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack, Don Rickles, Wallace Shawn, Estelle Harris and John Ratzenberger. Read the rest of this entry »
Like Tom Hanks, George Clooney indicated last week that he’s eager to see the WGA writers’ strike end. To that end, Clooney has even offered to mediate. He wants to set up a strike mediation panel that would also include Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg, and John Wells (ex-WGA president and executive producer of the ER TV series). The movie Charlie Wilson’s War, despite the title, is as much about the war of politics in Washington and the USA in general than about Afghanistan and military spending. Oh, and it’s a comedy of sorts. It stars the inimitable Tom Hanks and America’s Sweetheart, Julia Roberts – who was 3 months pregnant while filming, even while wearing the two-piece bikini while emerging from a backyard pool.
The Universal Pictures movie, which also stars Philip Seymour Hoffman, opens this Friday, Dec 21st. See the NY Times for a more indepth review.
