Tom Cruise’s “Valkyrie” has been plagued by a moving opening date. It was last reported that the film would open February 13, but Variety is now reporting that “Valkyrie” will open December 26 – getting it in just under the wire for 2008.
According to sources close to the film, the move to a 2008 opening was made for “purely commercial reasons,” – a screening of the film went well, so the studio wants to release it during the holidays. -

All-around nice guy Tom Hanks saved the day for a woman’s wedding that was interrupted by filming of his Da Vinci Code followup “Angels and Demons.” The movie production in Rome blocked the entrance to the church where she was to be married.
Tom Hanks guided the bride and her father to the church, offering his arm and keeping her veil off the ground.
