Tim Burton’s adaptation of “Alice in Wonderland” just got a little kookier. Crispin Glover has joined the cast of “Alice in Wonderland,” signing on to play the Knave of Hearts.
“Alice in Wonderland” will star Mia Wasikowska as Alice, as well as Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway and Helena Bonham Carter. Tim Burton’s vision of the Lewis Carroll classic will include a combination of live action and performance-capture technology.

Filming for Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland begins in November, and will be shot with live-action and performance-capture footage. Oh yeah, and it will be presented in Disney Digital 3-D. How cool is that?

I don’t care what Tim Burton and Johnny Depp reteam on — just as long as they keep making movies together! This time around, Johnny Depp and Tim Burton will bring the 60’s TV show “Dark Shadows” to the big screen. “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” and “Corpse Bride” writer John August will write the “Dark Shadows” script.
“Dark Shadows” delved into the world of vampires, werewolves, ghosts, witches, monsters and zombies — and Johnny Depp is rumored to play vampire patriarch Barnabas Collins.
More unusual celeb baby names dept: Director Tim Burton and actress Helena Bonham Carter have named their new baby girl Indiana Rose Burton. Indy was born on Dec 15th.
Burton directed Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, which is currently in theatres. He’ll be directing Frankenweenie and The Spook’s Apprentice, both in 2009, and Alice in Wonderland in 2010. He also wrote Frankenweenie, and is producing 9 (2008), Frankenweenie, Alice in Wonderland, and Ripley’s Believe It or Not! (2009).
Carter appears in Sweeney Todd, and she’ll reprise her role as Bellatrix Lestrange in 2008’s Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
