Jackie Chan will take on the role of a Mr. Miyagi type of mentor in the new Karate Kid remake, starring Jaden Smith (Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith’s son). Jackie Chan is in final negotiations to join the cast.

Variety.com is reporting that a Karate Kid remake is in the works – starring Will Smith’s son, Jaden Smith.

The Karate Kid was a hit in 1984, starring Ralph Macchio. The updated return would star Jaden Smith, the 10-year-old son of Will Smith. Jaden co-starred with Will Smith in The Pursuit of Happyness. Read the rest of this entry »
