Well, what did you expect? Naturally, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was the big winner at the box office during its opening weekend — earning $126 million over its first four days.

With this momentum, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is expected to be the second biggest Memorial Day movie opening, according to studio estimates.

Here’s how it breaks down: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull grossed $101 million from Friday to Sunday, with an additional $25 million from its Thursday opening. It’s expected to pull in an additional $25 million on Monday.

So, who’s the top box office champ? Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End snagged $139.8 million for its Friday through Monday Memorial Day weekend opening; $153 million with the Thursday prior included.

Runners-up at the 2008 Memorial Day weekend box office include “The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian” and “Iron Man.”

What do you think of a fourth installment of Jurassic Park? Would it be any good? Would it be successful? I think they should quit while they’re ahead as each sequel in the franchise has gotten worse. Could Jurassic Park IV turn things around?

And what about casting? With Jurassic Park 4 rumored to be in the works, is it likely that any of the original cast would return for the fourth installment? TV Guide asked Laura Dern if she would reprise her role as Dr. Ellie Sattler… and she said, “It’s a while away but my understanding is it’s happening and my character is very involved. I know [director] Steven Spielberg is looking forward to [getting it together] over the next year.”
