I can’t keep up with the on-again/off-again marriage of Robin Wright Penn and Sean Penn… but Robin Wright has yet again filed for divorce from her hubby.
Robin Wright Penn’s filing states “both parties have already agreed to [shared] custody” of 16 year old son Hopper Jack and that “the estranged couple have already agreed to division of all property.” Read the rest of this entry »
Looks like they’re going to have to find a new third stooge. Sean Penn has pulled out of two movies, “Cartel” and “The Three Stooges.” The actor is cancelling his acting gigs to focus on his family.
Sean Penn was to star as Larry in the Farrelly brothers “The Three Stooges” – Jim Carrey will star as Curly and Benicio Del Toro will play Moe. There’s no word yet on whether the studio will wait for Penn or will recast his role.

Haven’t we been here before? Sean Penn and wife Robin Wright Penn were separated for a brief time in 2007 before getting back together. Now, Sean Penn has filed for a separation from Robin Wright.
Looks like Sean Penn and Robin Wright Penn just couldn’t make things work. They’ve been married almost 13 years and have kids. It’s too bad.
Well this seems like an interesting turn for Sean Penn – the academy award winner will take on the role of Larry in the upcoming Three Stooges movie, directed by the Farrelly brothers.
Jim Carrey is reportedly in negotiations to play Curly, a role he’ll have to gain 40 pounds to play. Benicio Del Toro is rumored to play Moe.

Did Sean Penn cheat on wife Robin Wright Penn? Reports are that he had a date with a young brunette just before filing for divorce. Who of us not in the entertainment biz can ever know why celebrity couples separate. Despite how much they may be in the limelight, details of split-ups are often sketchy. All I remember is that Penn once adored his wife. Seems like that’s over. In fact, Penn’s filing was dismissed, then Wright Penn filed a few days later, on Dec 21st. Eleven years is a lifetime in the biz.
The Penns are one of several couples that just announced a divorce. Brendan Fraser is another, and Pam Anderson announced then retracted her decision to divorce.

Hollywood has always been particularly tough on relationships. Without any hard data, a personal observation suggests that relationships disintegrate sooner than non-celebrity marriages. But this has been quite the year of celebrity divorces: Marie Osmond, Valerie Bertinelli, Pam Anderson, and many more. Most recently announcing that they’re splitting up are Sean Penn and Robin Wright Penn, and Brendan Fraser and Afton Smith.
Fraser and Smith have three children, and the Penns have two. The Penns are the last couple I’d expect to be splitting up because of how much Sean Penn always seemed to adore her.
On the flipside, there are positive developments Josh Duhamel confirmed a recent engagement to popstar Fergie, formerly of the Black-Eyed Peas. Pregnant Jessica Alba finally confirmed through a rep that she is engaged to boyfriend Cash Warren. Even weirder news is that Jenna Fischer is now dating David Spade. It seems like a very odd relationship, but maybe Spade won’t be so “Droopy Dog” anymore. He always seemed so sad and reserved, despite being a comedian.
