Filming for a Nicolas Cage movie car chase stunt proved to be very dangerous – check out the video clip where a New York chase sequence ends in the stunt driver skidding out of control into a restaurant, injuring two people.

Oh, how Nicolas Cage has fallen – while his new movie, Bangkok Dangerous, was the top earner at the box office over the weekend, that’s not saying much. Bangkok Dangerous only took in $7.8 million – the lowest gross for a number one movie in five years!
The past weekend was, in fact, the worst box office weekend of 2008.

Here’s one movie rumor that sounds fun — a sequel to “Tron” — in 3-D!

Nicolas Cage, an excellent actor and also nephew of director Francis Ford Coppola, says he’s tired of being in blockbuster movies.
One of my frustrations is I have no control. I haven’t worked in a while, and it will be eight months before I start my next picture… I wonder if I am still interesting to watch.
I think you are, Nic, and it’s your versatility to be in different kinds of movies that I enjoy. I mean, it works for Will Smith, so why not you? (But Kathleen Turner doesn’t like you much.)

Nicolas Cage is back as Ben Gates in the conspiracy sequel National Treasure: Book of Secrets (aka #2). Also appearing are Diane Kruger, Jon Voight, Helen Mirren, Ed Harris,Harvey Keitel, Bruce Greenwood and others.
The sequel’s plot suggests that Ben Gates’ great-grandfather had something to do with Abraham Lincoln’s murdder, so Gates sets about trying to clear the family name.
Release date is Fri Dec 21st. A trailer clip is below.
