You probably already know that Tom Cruise did (most of?) his own stunts in the Mission Impossible movies, but there were other stunt people. One was Mark Joseph Connolly, who was injured during filming of the second movie. He won an award of $1mil in damages on Tues Dec 18th, but died of pancreatic cancer a few hours later.

If you’ve seen the Mission Impossible movies, then you know how hair-raising many of the scenes were.There were a lot of complex stunts and flying objects, and any time I watch the MI movies, I wonder not only how they pulled it off but whether anyone got injured. Connolly was hit by a motorcycle in MI 2, which is what the damages lawsuit was about. RIP, Mark Joseph Connolly.
