TMZ is saying that Mary-Kate Olsen – who reports say has been out partying and sucking face with someone – will not be questioned regarding Heath Ledger’s death, according to NYPD Commisioner Ray Kelly. There were conflicting reports all over the blogosphere about this. The latest rumor is that had the masseuse bothered to call 911 first, instead of calling Olsen 3-4 times, Ledger might have lived.

This is horrible all around. Either the masseuse is guilty of whatever charge that would be, or someone is starting a very nasty rumor. In the meantime, actress Michelle Williams – the mother of Ledger’s daughter Matilda Rose – is taking some time off of filming her next movie Blue Valentine.

Depending on which website/ magazine/ paper you read, Mary-Kate Olsen either is/will be grilled by police regarding the death of Heath Ledger on Tuesday, or she is not being questioned and the story is bogus. Ledger was supposedly using her NYC apartment, but this was later said to be false. The masseuse also supposedly called Olsen as much as four times before calling 911. There are thus some suggestions that Olsen and Ledger might have been more than just friends.

Olsen will appear in The Wackness this year with Ben Kingsley, Famke Jannsen, Josh Peck, Olivia Thirlby and Method Man (who seems to be getting a lot of celluloid coverage this year). The film premiered at Sundance Festival recently, and she allegedly has a makeout scene with Kingsley.

Ledger’s death has Warner Bros. in an undecided state about releasing Batman Begins 2: The Dark Knight, in which he plays arch-villain The Joker against Christian Bale’s Batman. Terry Gilliam (director) and his producer daughter are also in bind as to what to do with The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus (2009), which Ledger was the lead in. Production in Vancouver was halted, but some reports say that Gilliam has asked Johnny Depp to take over.
