The Jonas Brothers… and a farting dog? The Jonas Brothers will make their movie debut in “Walter the Farting Dog,” a remake of the bestselling children’s book series by William Kotzwinkle and Glenn Murray.

Okay, so it’s coming direct to DVD, but Disney fans will appreciate the fairy tale update with new teen queen Selena Gomez. Check out the trailer video for “Another Cinderella Story,” starring Selena Gomez.

Why oh why are they making a big screen version of the animated show The Smurfs? If you were a child of the 80’s, no doubt you grew up on The Smurfs (smurftastic!), but could a movie version of the little blue guys (and one gal) bring box office success?

Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation are going to try anyway - creating a live action and animated mix of The Smurfs. No word on a release date just yet.
