A Shrek spinoff featuring Puss in Boots is currently in the works, with the story focusing on how Puss and Shrek met for the first time.

The Toy Story and Toy Story 2 3D double feature is doing so well that the director, Lee Unkrich, has announced that the limited 3D engagement has been extended.
While no details are revealed about how much longer Toy Story and Toy Story 2 will run in theaters, but you can check out the video clip for more tidbits, including an update on Toy Story 3.

Parents of 8 year-old boys, you’ve been warned – the popular book series “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” is coming to the big screen. “Diary of a Wimpy Kid,” expected to hit movie theaters in April 2010, will star Steve Zahn and Rachael Harris as parents to Zachary Gordon’s wimpy kid character.
The “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” series, by Jeff Kinney, has sold more than 20 million copies.
With G-Force’s loveable rodents owning the box office last weekend, it got us to thinking about kids’ movies that adults also enjoy. Finding family friendly movies that adults can stomach can be a tall order (ask any parent tortured by a viewing of Space Buddies), so it’s a treat when kids’ movies make the grown-ups happy too. Dr. Suess’ “The Lorax” is getting the big screen treatment – as Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment are working on development of a 3-D CG animated version of The Lorax.
With the “green” theme of The Lorax, it continues to be relevant as a message for protecting the environment.
The Lorax is scheduled to hit theaters on March 2, 2012.
