Kate Hudson’s rep told E! News, “Kate and her attorneys are only just learning of the complaint, as Kate has not yet been served. Kate does not know the plaintiffs and has never met with them or spoken with them. Her representatives believe that the claims are baseless and without merit and intend to vigorously defend the lawsuit.”

According to a source close to the couple, “There was no drama or ugliness – They just decided to end things. There is no hatred, just sadness.”

No comments from either Kate Hudson or Lance Armstrong’s rep to confirm the break up news.

Matthew McConaughey is set to star opposite Kate Hudson in the new Foul Play – the two have previously worked together in Fool’s Gold and How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days. Kate Hudson has confirmed that negotiations have started for the Foul Play remake, but “we don’t even have a writer yet”.
