“Mondo Diablo kicks off with a double feature of Stripes and Thank You for Smoking. I will be in attendance, along with Ivan Reitman and Jason Reitman. We’ll have a candid chat, watch some cool old trailers, and best of all, enjoy two incredible films (35mm prints, kids!) from a great Hollywood family.”

New pictures of the Sexiest Woman in the World, Megan Fox, have been circulating online — topless Megan Fox pictures from filming the new movie “Jennifer’s Body,” written by “Juno” screenwriter Diablo Cody.
Megan Fox doesn’t reveal everything though, as pasties cover up her nipples in the topless shots. The photos show Megan Fox emerging from the water on the set of “Jennifer’s Body.”

Starting Wednesday, celebrities will begin blogging for the National Hockey League’s (NHL) web site. The celebrities involved include “Juno” director Jason Reitman, “The Hills” Lauren Conrad, Dierks Bentley, Kevin Smith, David Boreanaz, A.J. Buckley, Tom Cavanagh, William Fichtner and Geoff Stults.

“Juno” star Ellen Page, who was set to star in Sam Raimi’s new film, “Drag Me to Hell,” has dropped out due to scheduling conflicts.
According to Variety, Ellen Page was to begin shooting the thriller on March 17, but Screen Actors Guild contract negotiations postponed the date. With SAG discussions to begin in April and a possible strike, some film projects have been put on hold. Read the rest of this entry »

The following movies have been nominated for Best Motion Picture of the Year. You might notice that three of five of the nominated movies are based on novels. Some or all of the movies were selected by the American Film Institute and won or were nominated for Golden Globes.
IMDB has the rest of the Academy Award nominations. The Academy Awards are not exempt from the WGA writers strike, so hopefully some independent deal will be resolved if the strike itself is not.
