The Jonas Brothers did not clean house at the box office as expected over the weekend – their Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience was beat by Madea Goes to Jail.

The Jonas Brothers 3D Concert experience landed in the number two box office spot, earning $12.7 million.

To put it into perspective, compare the Jonas Brothers 3D effort to Miley Cyrus’ concert film – Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience opened in twice as many theaters compared to the Hannah Montana offering, but only took in about half of what the Cyrus flick earned during the opening weekend.

Do you plan to check out the new Jonas Brothers concert movie, Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience when it opens this Friday, February 27? You may just be one of the lucky fans to see the JoBros in person when they stop in to theaters during their “Surprise Theater Invasion” tour.

Nick Jonas says of the theater surprise, “We can’t give too many details as to what cities or how many cities we’ll be going to. What we can tell you is it will be a coast-to-coast tour and it’s really all about our fans, and being able to experience this with them.”
