Turns out the rumor about Zac Efron joining the cast of Pirates of the Caribbean 4 is just not true – leaving many devastated that Zac Efron, Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom won’t appear on the big screen together.
Zac Efron, who will next be seen in High School Musical 3: Senior Year, sets the record straight, telling Ryan Seacrest on his radio show, “Honestly, at this time it’s just a rumor. I wish I was going to be in Pirates of the Caribbean 4, so hopefully that will happen for me.”

Actors are overpaid, no doubt, with Johnny Depp is the latest actor to snag a huge upfront payout for the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean 4. Johnny Depp is getting $55.8 million from Disney to reprise his role as Captain Jack Sparrow.
Johnny Depp’s payout trumps Tom Hanks’ upfront pay for the Da Vinci Code – Hanks snagged $50 million upfront.

Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell, who took on various versions of Heath Ledger in “The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus” after the actor’s death – are donating their paychecks to Heath Ledger’s daughter, Matilda.
Accordingt to “The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus” director Terry Gilliam, “They didn’t take money — it goes to Heath’s daughter. That’s extraordinary! Just a shout out to Johnny Depp – it’s his birthday! The talented (and oh-so-handsome) Johnny Depp turns 45 today. Wow, that doesn’t even seem right.

“Dark Shadows” delved into the world of vampires, werewolves, ghosts, witches, monsters and zombies — and Johnny Depp is rumored to play vampire patriarch Barnabas Collins.
