When Joaquin Phoenix attacks! Joaquin Phoenix is captured on video at a Miami club last night, jumping into the crowd and attacking a heckler before being removed by security.

Joaquin Phoenix was giving a rap concert at the LIV night club in the Fontainebleau Miami Beach hotel – which he was 4 hours late for – when a heckler apparently pissed him off so much that he said, “We have a fucking bitch in the audience and rapping “I’ve got $1million in the bank. Have you watched the Joaquin Phoenix/David Letterman Late Show interview yet? Check out this February 11 video clip for one of the most awkward interviews Letterman has ever had. Joaquin Phoenix doesn’t give Letterman much to go on, but Dave works with what he’s got – which is basically a bored, mellow (high?) Phoenix. Very strange.

Joaquin Phoenix’s Letterman interview will likely have people talking today – was he just having an off day, does he hate interviews… or (gasp) hates Letterman?

Joaquin Phoenix to Quit Acting; Early Retirement to Focus on Music

Joquin Phoenix retires from acting
Looks like Joaquin Phoenix is heading for an early retirement – the 34 year old announced that he will quit acting. Joaquin Phoenix told Extra at the Paul Newman benefit, “this will be my last performance as an actor… I’m not doing films anymore.”

Apparently, Joaquin Phoenix is moving on to music, saying of acting, “I’m working on my music. I’m done. I’ve been through that.” Read the rest of this entry »
