I’m curious to see how Sophie Kinsella’s book, Confessions of a Shopaholic, translates to the big screen. Check out the Confessions of a Shopaholic Movie trailer in the video clip above.

It’s hard for me to envision Rebecca Bloomwood as an American, but I think Isla Fisher is a good casting choice.

Confessions of a Shopaholic opens in theaters February 13, 2009.

I just loved the book “Confessions of a Shopaholic” by Sophie Kinsella — and it seems like a great choice for the jump to the big screen. Better yet is Isla Fisher cast as the lead role, Rebecca Bloomwood.

The only thing I’m curious about is the location in Manhattan and the character being American, but hey, it could work. Part of Becky’s charm is being British, don’t you think?
