The Harry Potter theme park will cover 20 acres and includes Hogsmeade village, Hogswarts Express train, 15-story Hogwarts castle, Three Broomsticks restaurant, interactive store Ollivander’s (where the wand chooses the wizard), the Dragon Challenge and Flight of the Hippogriff roller coasters, and much more.

Another false news snippet said that Emma Watson was “killed while being driven back to hotel after a screening of her latest movie, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, when a car collided with her vehicle. Watson is reported to have died at the scene. Her relatives have so far refused to comment, only quoting that they are ‘too distraught’ to speak with the media.”

Emma Watson commented, “Yes. For Bernardo Bertolucci. It … depends. I’m not getting my kit off any time soon, but it is part of my job. I’m at a strange age. Dyspraxia impairs the normal learning process and in Daniel Radcliffe’s case, his “condition is very mild and at worst manifests itself in an inability to tie his shoe laces and bad handwriting,” according to his rep.

It hasn’t hurt Daniel Radcliffe’s career at all – in fact, it was dyspraxia that led him to acting. According to Radcliffe, “I was having a hard time at school in terms of being crap at everything, with no discernible talent.” That’s when he first auditioned for BBC’s David Copperfield.

Dyspraxia affects about 10 percent of people in Britain.

J.K. Rowling talks about her life’s failures before she became wildly successful with the Harry Potter novels.

J.K. Rowling was given a Harvard honorary doctor of letters degree.

At one point, J.K. Rowling told the Harvard graduates, “We do not need magic to transform our world. We carry all the power we need inside ourselves already; we have the power to imagine better.”

The Harry Potter prequel is a short 800 words long, but oh to know what lies in those 800 words, right?

J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter prequel will not be published, but rather sold at a charity auction.

Thirteen authors were asked to create a story for the auction — and the only part we know for sure? J.K. Rowling’s note at the end, saying, “From the prequel I am not working on – but that was fun!”

Equus, starring Daniel Radcliffe, is expected to open September 25 at the Broadhurst Theatre and run for 22 weeks. Previews begin September 5.

Daniel Radcliffe has mixed feelings about his Broadway debut, saying, “It will be amazing, but I will be terrified because I was talking to [costar] Richard Griffiths about playing New York, and he said the most stupid thing you can do is underestimate New York audiences.”

Warner Bros. Pictures and the producers involved made the decision to take J.K. Rowling’s final novel, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and split the story into two films.

“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I” will arrive in theaters in November 2010, while “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II” will hit theaters in May 2011.

Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliffe sounded off on the decision, saying:

“I think it’s the only way you can do it, without cutting out a huge portion of the book. There have been compartmentalized subplots in the other books that have made them easier to cut — although those cuts were still to the horror of some fans — but the seventh book doesn’t really have any subplots. It’s one driving, pounding story from the word go.”

How the “Harry Potter” films will be split is still being hammered out. According to Producer David Heyman:

“The question will be, where do you break it? And how do you make them one but two separate and distinct stories? Do you break it with a moment of suspense or one of resolution?”

You’re making a movie based on a really long book and you have two choices: (1) Make one movie and leave lots of stuff out, pissing off fans. (2) Make two movies and spread things out, pissing off people who were expecting to see a standalone movie.

That’s normally a tough question to answer, but we’re talking Harry Potter. It appears that Warner Bros. are leaning towards the second option. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, currently scheduled for a 2010 release, might be split into two movies because the book is so long. Previous movies left out portions of their corresponding books and upset fans. Given that it’s Harry Potter, fans are less likely to be upset about splitting one movie into – especially since they’ll be based on the last book in the series and probably want to savor it all.
