Indiana Jones won’t have to wait long for the newest installment of the franchise, “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull,” which comes to DVD on October 14.
“Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” will no doubt be packed with extra feature goodies when it hits stores October 14. The two-disc sets will include discussion of how the movie evolved over its long development period, production diary, and behind-the-scenes features about special effects and more.
George Lucas has confirmed that Shia LaBeof’s Mutt Williams character from the fourth Indiana Jones will not be the focus of Indiana Jones 5.
George Lucas told MTV:
“Indiana Jones is Indiana Jones. Harrison Ford IS Indiana Jones. If it was Mutt Williams it would be ‘Mutt Williams and the Search for Elvis’ or something.”
Indiana Jones still has it after 19 years — Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull cleaned up at the Memorial Day weekend box office, firmly landing at number one with an estimated $311 million worldwide.
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull opened Thursday and took in $311 million, making it the second biggest Memorial Day weekend opening (Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End still holds the top spot).
Well, what did you expect? Naturally, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was the big winner at the box office during its opening weekend — earning $126 million over its first four days.
